Building a church website

22 March 2008 · 4 Comments

One of the my projects at the parish is rebuilding the church website.  I have vision, but unfortunately, not enough experience in multi-administrator site design.  So please put on your thinking caps!

Website in its Infancy

If you know anything about online companies who provide very inexpensive web-based design services, please shoot me an email.  I have looked at several, but remember I need to set something up that I can leave with people who don’t necessarily know how to do lots of internet tinkering.  As trouble-sooting goes, I would also want to be able to log-in from the States in the future, in case they needed my help down the line.  It would be really great if I could find a free web-host too, just in case you’re offering.  All help is GREATLY appreciated.  Once it’s up and running, I look forward to showing it to you!

UPDATE:  Thanks to some research from a friend and elder at the church, we did locate a great church website builder located in Glasgow.   You can see this developer at adminweb.co.uk or click here to see his portfolio of church sites.  I don’t know if he works in other languages, but there is a potential for that.

You can watch the site develop by going to www.troonold.org.uk
